Agra is a grand old city situated on the banks of famous river Yamuna. Agra is famous in the world for the ‘ Taj Mahal ‘ , which is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is also famous for its beautiful gardens of the Mughals , for its Narrow lanes, old Bazaars of Mughal times, for its cottage industries , like Marble Items , Leather Goods, Durries , Carpets , Iron Foundries , for Diesel Engine pump sets , Generator sets , etc. Its beautiful Monuments places to visit :-

TAJ MAHAL
The Taj is one f the seven wonders of the World. It was built by Emperor ShahJahan in the loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal . In total , Taj took 22 long yrs. In its completion from Dec. 1631 A.D. to 1653 A.D. The building is mode of pure & finest white marble . Its walls & arch’s are beautifully engraved with screen & mosaic work . There is a fine inlay work with inscriptions from the Holy Quran in black marble.
A labor force of app. twenty thousand was mustered to construct the Mausoleum.
Open : Saturday to Thursday. (Friday Closed)

AGRA FORT
Agra Fort is situated on the right bank of river Yamuna to words east of Agra city constituted by Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great . It has been built of thick & strong walls of red sand stone . This fort was started in 1565 A.D & took eight long yrs. in its completion. The total sum spent on the constriction was Rs. 35 lakhs.
Every dynasty wanted to make Agra a strong hold with this view only Akbar built this fort as a watchman of this empire.
ITMAD-UD-DAULAH’S TOMB
It was built by empress Noor Jahan , beloved wife of emperor Jahangir , in the memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg , who was the prime minster of the Mughal Court . It was started in 1622 A.D and was completed in 1629 A.D. This rectangular shaped tomb of white Marble is enclosed by a beautiful garden. The marble walls are decorated with inscriptions from the Holy Quran , Cypress Trees , Vine Flasks & Jugs carved on marble .
CHINI KA ROZA
It is a rectangular structure having beautiful tile work in Glazing Colors & is surrounded by a great Bulbous Dome . There are two cenotaphs in its middle one of Shukrullah & other of his wife Shukrullah entered in the service of Jahangir in 1618 A.D & become Finance Minister of Shukrullah, who died in Lahore in 1639 A.D. His dead body was brought & ground here.
SIKANDRA
Sikandra is one of the superb Mughal Buildings , which is situated about 7 km. from Agra City. Emperor Akbar the Great selected this place for his burial & started the construction work in 1602 A.D. The main building was constructed by Akbar only but was completed by Emperor Jahangir in 1613 A.D with a cost of Rs. 15 lakh. This Mausoleum stands in a big garden called as Bahishtabad in an area of 150 accer, & is enclosed by a huge wall about 25 feet high having 4 gates towards all four sides
DAYAL BAGH OR RADHA SWAMI’S SAMADHI
Dayal Bagh is about 6 Km. from the collectorate . It is the birth place of a religious sect ‘Radha Swami’ which was founded by Swami Shiv Dayal ji in 1861 A.D. The main attraction is the Samadhi of the ‘ Sat Guru Maharaj ‘ in white Marble , with in lay work of semi-precious stones. Dayal Bagh is famous for its Textiles , Durri works , Leather Goods & Artistic small marble items or products .
FATHEPUR SIKRI
It is situated about 37 Km. west of Agra on Agra-Jaipur National Highway . It was famous for the dwelling place of a Sufi saint ‘Sheikh Saleem Chisti‘, who was famous for his spiritual deeds .
This city was founded in 1569 A.D by Akbar and later on some magnificant places, court yards & great battle minted high walls were constructed . Most of the places & buildings of Fatehpur Sikri are made of Red Sand Stone and are of Hindu style of architecture.
BHARATPUR BIRD SANCTUARY
The above Sanctuary is approximately 60kms from Agra by road. The enterance fee is Rs. 200/- per person car charges are Rs. 50/- for each car. The Timings are 6am to 6pm.
MATHURA VRINDAVAN
The two cities are approximately 55-65 kms from Agra city. They are open from Sunrise to saunset.
